People Type: Undergraduate Students

Renata Almachnee is an undergraduate research assistant in the LCD lab. She is a freshman studying Neurobiology on the pre-medical track. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend medical school. In her free time, she enjoys watching Gossip Girl, trying new coffee shops, working out, and spending time with her loved ones.

Tessa Benedict is a sophomore double-majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders as well as Human Development and Family Studies. After graduating, she plans to attend graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist specializing in pediatrics. Outside of school, she enjoys playing and watching sports, going shopping, and attending concerts.

Jaqueline Cabrera is a first-year undergraduate research assistant in the LCD lab. Leela Hart is an undergraduate research assistant in the LCD lab and is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. After graduating, she plans to attend graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology. She enjoys traveling, going on walks, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Lily Johnson is an undergraduate research assistant at the LCD Lab. She is a sophomore majoring in Psychology and Spanish. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and later become a therapist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing and listening to music, reading, and lifting.

Jessie Kaplan is a senior majoring in Psychology with certificates in Criminal Justice and Gender & Women’s Studies. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend law school to become an education lawyer. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.

Juliana Laird is an undergraduate research assistant in the LCD Lab. She is a junior majoring in Human Development & Family Studies and Dance. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to earn a master’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. In her free time, she enjoys being active and trying new restaurants in Madison.

Aidan McCann is a senior majoring in Biology with certificates in Health & Humanities. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend an Accelerated – BSN program to further her education before specializing. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, concerts, spending time with her friends and family, and anything outdoors.
